The Thrift Studio. – Paid Partnership

“I’ve always had a love for discovering unique, preloved treasures that tell a story” explains Mikayla Marsh, founder of The Thrift Studio, on the company’s website.

Mikayla is a senior at Hawaii Pacific University and wanted to create something that matters as her bachelor project. Combining her longtime interest in fashion and thrifting with her lifestyle of seeking sustainable choices, which became the foundation for her newly started small business – The Thrift Studio.

The Thrift Studio’s – Mission

On the website, the company states that their mission is “to redefine what we think about fashion from being all about trends to being more about conscious choices.” However, the small business takes an interesting route as they provide a large assortment of various pieces that all have the vintage aesthetic, which is the vibe many thrift lovers seek when going thrifting.

With an eye for fashion, the founder, Mikayla, provides a unique way of thrifting on Oahu, as her customers can shop the goodies directly from The Thrift Studios website. This is something that is a user-centric approach as it is a very effective solution for the shopper who wants to make more conscious choices but does not have time to spend hours in a store.

Meet the Founder,

Mikayla Marsh is a hardworking student at Hawaii Pacific University who is balancing her studies with her full-time job and her newly started small business. She is the one responsible for the company’s social media channels, finding the goodies, taking the photos, and marketing.

However, even with the heavy workload, Mikayla sees a bright future for The Thrift Studio, which we at Try Out the Waters can agree with. For the reason that even if The Thrift Studio is a small business, the founder has an innovative approach by showing the giants how it’s done by being Try Out the Waters first partner to donate to the Native Hawaiian Community.

Why we recommend – The Thrift Studio

Being a fashion lover on a student budget is not an easy task. However, this is something that The Thrift Studio recognizes by launching the 10% Off in April campaign, with the intention of promoting better fashion choices. Making it easier for students with a limited budget to celebrate their unique expressions.

The Thrift Studio

Last words

There are many reasons why Try Out the Waters is proud of this paid partnership, and the main one is that we believe that The Thrift Studio’s sustainability-centered mission aligns with our brand. Where we together can inspire students to make more conscious choices while celebrating their unique expression on a limited student budget. Therefore, check out The Thrift Studio’s website – TODAY – and shop for some goodies without feeling anxious about harming your budget or the land.
