Selma’s Takeover Insights

1. What do you like to do in Hawaii?

Beach Days, Sunsets, Hiking, Exploring and snorkeling.

2. Have you visited some of the other Islands?

Yes, I was in Kauai for spring break – the island is called garden island and I really understand why.

3. Which Island is your favorite?

Unfortunately, I’ve only visited Kauai, but I really want to see the volcano on the Big Island.

4. Are you going to the beach after class?

Not today, but on the days I have a long break between classes I go home to get a tan.

5. What do you wish you had known about Hawaii before you moved?

Having access to a car here is a must if you want to experience the island! Make friends that has a car, rent one or buy one. Uber is quite expensive if you want to go to the North Shore or the west side.

6. What’s your favorite hike?

One of my favorites is koko head – during sunset. But we also hiked the legal part of stairways to heaven – which I definitely recommend.

7. What’s your favorite Restaurant?

I haven’t eaten much at restaurant here as the prices are quite high.

8. Was it easy to make friends?

When it comes to making friends… It’s better to say hello once too many times than once too few times. If you’re unsure whether to invite someone or not – invite them! For all you know it could be the start of a long friendship. It is much more fun to experience Hawaii with nice people around you.
