Going to a new beach can be scary, especially when not knowing how difficult and dangerous the shorebreak can be, and therefore it could be hard to determine which beaches are worth spending your time on. To make it easier for you, we have created a list of the top 10 Beaches that current visiting students have determined to be their favorites and must-visits.

However, if there is one thing you must know about the beaches before visiting the island, it is the fact that the currents and sizes of the waves depend on the season.

Therefore, you need to remember that the surfer months on the North Shore are during the winter months (November – February). This means that you should not go into the water during those beaches during those months. Meanwhile the waves are most powerful in Waikiki, and the south side during the summer months. (March – September)

Therefore, make sure to plan accordingly and never go into the ocean if you are unsure of your capabilities.
